Rainy Day

It’s been a rainy weekend. We haven’t had weather like this in a long time. And I have to admit, it’s kind of nice to just sit and relax and watch the rain come down. So I took a few pics of the kids…and then I’m posting some from earlier in the week, too. I know it looks like Jackson doesn’t have hair in most pictures, but look! He does! It’s getting thicker every day!

Briggs and Al’s Run

Yesterday was an amazing day. Last year our family started participating in Al’s Run for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. They have an amazing medical team that treats Jackson for his heart. Eric and I said that we want to give back anyway we can, and this is one way we’ve chosen to do so. And lucky for us (actually, it’s not luck, we’re extremely fortunate) to have wonderful family and friends who support us! What a humbling day!  Part of our team before the start.  The Kuchta girls!  Almost 14,000 people participated this year…look at all the white shirts down the street! It was so interesting to walk downtown Milwaukee and take in all the sites…the buildings are beautiful!  Kate and her dear friend...

Kate’s First Day of Kindergarten

Kate was so excited about going to school and riding the school bus!  At the bus stop…here comes the bus!  She walked right on!! Eric and I were so surprised! This is Kate and her good friend, Sydney. They just got off the bus at school and were waiting for the teachers to take them inside to their classroom.  Kate and her teacher Miss McDonald Kate wasn’t too happy that I had to leave. Miss McDonald e-mailed me and said she was fine once I left and had a smile on her face the rest of the day.

Kate’s 5th Birthday

Our sweet princess turned 5 today! We had a wonderful day. The Reese’s were visiting and we celebrated with a princess party. Belle and Cinderella even came! It was an amazing day!!  Kate and her friend, Ella  Daddy trying to put the tiara on Kate, but it ended up on his head instead!  Belle and Cinderella came to Kate’s party! She was extremely bashful at first. But after about 10 minutes she warmed up and got so excited!  Kate and Grandma with the princesses  Kate and her friend Sydney!  Eric decorated the princess cake.
